Randy will be talking about his campaign running for the office of Region 4 area director for Alabama and Mississippi.

Speaker Randy M. Easterling

Randy M. Easterling has been with the University of Alabama for 32 years.  He currently serves as the Safety Program Supervisor for the UA SafeState Consultation Program.  In this position, he supervises a staff of safety professionals and industrial hygienists.  He has provided consulting services to over 15,000 companies in diverse industries.  He is the chair for the online Industrial Hygiene and Bloodborne Pathogens courses at UA. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with the degree  Master of Science in Public Health in Industrial Hygiene.  He is certified by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene as a Certified Industrial Hygienist and by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals as a Certified Safety Professional.

Mr. Easterling served as president of the Alabama Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers (now ASSP) from 2015-2017.  During his tenure the chapter received two Platinum Awards.  He previously served as Vice President, Secretary, Program Chair and SPY Chair.  He served on the Region 4 PDC committee.  He was the Alabama Chapter Safety Professional of the Year for 2015-2016.  His proudest achievement was the establishment of the Tuscaloosa Section.

Mr. Easterling serves on the Board of Advisors for the Deep South Center.  In this capacity, he advises the industrial hygiene program at UAB and the safety engineering program at Auburn University.  He serves on the safety committee for the Alabama Builders and Contractors Association, the planning committee for the Central Alabama Construction Safety Conference.  He is active with Manufacture Alabama.  He serves on MA’s safety committee, safety conference planning committee and Fall Conference Planning Committee.  He also serves on the American Industrial Hygiene Association’s  Governmental Affairs Committee and Training and Conference Committee.
